Recognizing the challenges that 4-year colleges and universities encounter as they work to obtain external funding, craft competitive research proposals, and manage grants, this study seeks to better understand research development arrangements and opportunities nationwide. Make Your Voice Heard
In this National Science Foundation-funded research project, our organizations have come together to create a survey aimed at identifying differences in depth, resource availability, and understanding of Research Development (RD) in the context of Research Administration (RA). This survey will also assess the strengths and weaknesses of the RD initiatives, as well as the perceived needs and priorities for both internal and collaborative support to improve the quality and capacity of RD/RA.

- Complimentary Data Dashboard: Your introductory email will include links to a free, versatile, interactive dashboard with benchmarking data from national higher ed surveys such as IPEDS and HERD. Once you complete the survey, we will update the dashboard with SUNDRI data, expanding the benefits for benchmarking and more.
- Customized Webinar: We will offer survey participants a custom virtual workshop on the best use of SUNDRI data and IPEDS tools (Winter 2025-26).
- Contribute to Data on RD/RA Experiences Nationwide: By participating in the SUNDRI survey, you will help improve the field's understanding of RD/RA activities and opportunities across a wide array of 4-year colleges and universities.
